The previous manual verification and IC card access control methods had multiple pain points: severe congestion at the school gate during morning and evening rush hours made it difficult for security guards to verify the identity of each person entering and exiting; IC cards were prone to being lost, forgotten, borrowed, or misused, making it difficult to eliminate the security risk of unauthorized personnel entering the campus; student attendance records relied on manual statistics or independent card-taking devices, resulting in data lag and a lack of linkage with access control records, making it impossible for homeroom teachers to monitor student attendance in real time. With the Thai Ministry of Education's increasingly stringent requirements for campus security and student management, the school urgently needed an integrated access control system that could quickly manage peak traffic flow, accurately identify individuals, and automatically record attendance.
HFSecurity's solution for the school focused on the deep integration of a facial recognition attendance terminal and a gate. The gate automatically opens, and the system simultaneously records the passage time and personnel information—a single action completes access authorization and attendance registration, completely eliminating management blind spots such as "not swiping after passing through the gate" or "forgetting to pass through after swiping." The device uses a high-precision facial recognition algorithm, supports stable recognition in different lighting conditions, and has a liveness detection function, effectively resisting forgery methods such as photos and videos, ensuring that only real people can pass verification. This feature is particularly important for Thai schools—students do not need to carry any cards or devices, and can pass smoothly even with their hands full of books or sports equipment.
The core value of this solution lies in the deep integration of attendance and access control. Each passage record through the gate is automatically uploaded to the back-end management system, which automatically compares it with the timetable and class schedule to generate statistical reports on lateness, early departure, and absence. Class teachers can view class attendance in real time via computer or mobile phone, and parents can also use the system to understand their children's arrival and departure status in real time, achieving seamless communication between home and school. To address the varying security needs of different areas within the school, the system supports granular access control. Ordinary students are only authorized to pass through the main entrance gate's wing gate and cannot enter faculty offices or laboratories; faculty members, however, can be authorized to access more areas. When visitors arrive, the front desk can register their temporary facial recognition or issue a temporary QR code, authorizing access within a specified time. The system automatically records entry and exit times, and all data is traceable. This feature not only ensures campus security but also improves visitor management efficiency, eliminating the need for security guards to repeatedly confirm visits by phone.
