One Card, One Person: A Steel Defense Line – HFSecurity Customizes Full-Height Gate Access Control System for a Dominican Brewery

2026 06/04

In the Dominican Republic, a well-known beer production company recently completed a comprehensive upgrade of its factory security system. Addressing the brewery's high standards for personnel access control, Chongqing Huifan Technology Co., Ltd. (HFSecurity) tailored a full-height gate access control system for them, covering key areas such as the raw material warehouse, brewing workshop, packaging production line, and finished product logistics area. Based on their actual management needs, the client chose NFC card swiping as the primary access method, achieving convenient and efficient personnel management while ensuring high security.
One Card, One Person: A Steel Defense Line – HFSecurity Customizes Full-Height Gate Access Control System for a Dominican Brewery
The brewery has multiple functional areas including raw material storage, saccharification and fermentation, bottling and packaging, and logistics and delivery. The factory area not only houses permanent employees but also a large number of temporary workers, equipment maintenance personnel, logistics drivers, and visitors. Traditional half-height turnstiles or ordinary card-swipe access control systems are insufficient to prevent people from climbing over or tailgating. Unauthorized personnel may infiltrate unauthorized areas, posing risks to food safety, production safety, and the leakage of trade secrets.
To address this scenario, full-height turnstiles, with their fully enclosed rotating gate structure, completely eliminate climbing and tailgating, making them the ideal choice for brewery security upgrades.
HFSecurity's full-height turnstile access control system for breweries uses a robust stainless steel rotating gate body. The gate height exceeds that of an adult, effectively preventing crossing. Each channel is an independent passage space for "one person at a time." Only after the person completes identity verification will the turnstile rotate to release a passage opportunity, ensuring absolutely single-person, single-entry entry.
This series of full-height turnstiles is equipped with a thickened stainless steel chassis and impact-resistant rotating rods, capable of withstanding high-intensity, frequent use. Designed for the humid, water-rich environment of breweries, the equipment surface undergoes rust and corrosion protection treatment, and the internal electrical components feature a sealed design, providing a high level of waterproofing and dustproofing, suitable for the harsh conditions of brewing workshops and cleaning areas.
In this deployment, the client, considering their management habits and employee convenience, chose NFC card swiping as the sole identification method. Each employee and resident supplier is issued an encrypted IC card, which is simply swiped on the sensor area of the turnstile for verification. The turnstile automatically rotates to allow passage, the entire process taking only one second and requiring no contact with the turnstile itself.
The card swiping system is linked in real-time with the factory's personnel attendance data. Employee entry and exit records are automatically generated into attendance reports. Card swiping permissions for temporary workers and visitors can be set by shift or time period, automatically expiring afterward. Security management personnel can access the passage records of each turnstile at any time, enabling traceability of personnel flow.
HFSecurity full-height turnstile terminals support multiple authentication methods, including facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, QR code scanning, and palm vein recognition, allowing clients to flexibly select according to their actual needs. We also provide a free SDK development package and standard API interfaces to support secondary development and system integration. Furthermore, the company offers comprehensive OEM/ODM customization services, customizing everything from equipment appearance and functional configuration to software platforms to meet the personalized needs of different scenarios.
To address the frequent material transportation needs of breweries, HFSecurity specifically designed widened full-height gates in the logistics channels, accommodating handcarts, forklifts, and small trailers. Simultaneously, separate card-swiping pillars and fast lanes were provided for logistics drivers, achieving separation of people and vehicles, ensuring logistics efficiency while avoiding the safety hazards caused by mixed traffic.
In the finished product shipping area, the full-height gates are linked to the vehicle dispatch system. Only drivers who have completed the goods manifest verification can swipe their cards to enter the loading platform, further standardizing logistics management processes.
After the full-height gate access control system was implemented at the brewery, the level of security management in the factory area has significantly improved. The factory's security manager stated, "In the past, outsiders would often try to tailgate into the production area; now, the full-height gates have completely eliminated this phenomenon. Moreover, everyone's card swipes are recorded, showing who went where and when."
The factory's HR department also reported that after employee attendance data was integrated with the access control system, the statistics on late arrivals and early departures became more accurate, and the calculation of temporary worker hours was automated, reducing manual statistical errors.
Designed for the high humidity and frequent cleaning environments of breweries, HFSecurity full-height turnstiles are constructed from 304 stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. The motor and control system are wide-temperature capable, operating stably from 0℃ to 50℃. The equipment supports offline mode; even during network outages, the turnstiles can still verify access using a local access control database, ensuring uninterrupted production.
The Dominican Republic is a major manufacturing hub in Central America, and this brewery case study fully demonstrates the superior performance of HFSecurity full-height turnstiles in industrial production environments. Moving forward, HFSecurity will continue to expand its presence in the Latin American market, providing high-security, high-durability, and customizable full-height turnstile solutions to help more manufacturing companies achieve intelligent security transformation and upgrades.
