Thai IT company deploys HFSecurity multimodal attendance system, HR bids farewell to month end overtime

2026 06/12

Thailand is located in the tropics, with high temperatures and heavy rainfall throughout the year. Many office workers tend to sweat and have wet fingers while commuting, and traditional fingerprint attendance often fails to recognize them; At the same time, local enterprises generally pay attention to social etiquette, and public facilities that employees come into close contact with can easily cause hygiene concerns. In response to these localized pain points, HFSecurity provided a hybrid recognition attendance solution for an information technology company in a Grade A office building in Thailand, integrating facial recognition, QR code, and work card. Employees can freely choose their check-in method based on their own situation or scenario. After the system was launched, the queuing time during the morning rush hour was reduced by half, and the monthly attendance statistics efficiency of HR was significantly improved.
Thai IT company deploys HFSecurity multimodal attendance system, HR bids farewell to month end overtime
The company has nearly a hundred employees, including multiple departments such as technology, administration, and sales. The administrative supervisor once had two headaches: one was that during the rainy season, employees came in from outside and their fingers got wet from the rain. The fingerprint machine repeatedly prompted "please press again", and people behind them queued up to wait; Secondly, some employees dislike fingerprint machines as they have been touched by many people and are reluctant to touch them. The company has tried facial attendance, but recognition is slow when the light outside the conference room is dim, and the habit of Thai employees wearing masks also affects recognition rates. Managers hope to find a check-in method that is both flexible and hygienic, and can stably adapt to the local climate.
The HFSecurity attendance terminal supports various installation forms such as wall mounted, desktop placement, floor standing columns, and integrated turnstiles, and can be flexibly selected according to the office entrance layout, pedestrian flow, and decoration style. In this project, the client used a wall mounted design at the entrance of the office area, a desktop design in the front desk, and a floor standing column design in the open office area. For the finance and research and development areas with high security requirements, the attendance terminal was integrated with the channel gate to achieve "check-in upon passing".
This terminal supports various recognition modules such as facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, QR code recognition, IC card recognition, iris recognition, and palm vein recognition. Enterprises can flexibly choose and configure them according to their actual scenarios. Based on actual usage habits, the customer mainly used three methods: facial recognition, QR code scanning, and work card swiping. Employees can simultaneously enter their face, bind their work card, and generate a personal exclusive QR code upon joining. During daily clock in:
Facial recognition: suitable for scenarios where bare hands pass through gates or access points, with millisecond response and support for low light and backlight compensation.
QR code check-in: Employees can access the dynamic QR code through LINE or the company's internal app and scan it in front of the device, especially when their fingers are wet or they do not want to take off their masks.
Work card swiping: retaining traditional habits, convenient for logistics or elderly employees who are not accustomed to smart devices.
All identification records will be consolidated into the same attendance backend. The device casing is made of high-temperature resistant materials, which can adapt to indoor and outdoor temperature differences of over 30 ℃ throughout the year in Thailand. The touch screen surface has been coated with anti fingerprint coating, making daily cleaning very convenient.
All check-in records are uploaded in real-time to the attendance management platform through the company's internal network. The platform automatically recognizes records of tardiness, early departure, overtime, or field trips. After logging in, HR can generate standard reports with charts, which can be directly exported to finance for salary calculation. In the past, manually checking overtime and leave requests at the end of each month took several days. Now, only the abnormal records marked by the system need to be reviewed, greatly reducing the workload. At the same time, the system isolates data by department, and department supervisors can only view the attendance status of employees in their own department, while HR has global permissions.
The attendance terminal supports Wi Fi and 4G networking without the need for additional wiring. The wall mounted version is fixed to the wall or glass partition, the desktop version is ready to use, the floor standing version is equipped with a stable bracket, and the integrated gate and channel gate are installed together. The company's administrative department coordinated with the electrician to complete the installation over the weekend, and all equipment was ready by Monday's work without affecting normal office operations.
The company utilizes the free SDK provided by HFSecurity to integrate its internal work hour management system with attendance machines: after employees scan codes or swipe their faces to clock in, the backend automatically marks "already on duty" and associates it with project work hours. HR also synchronizes attendance records to the human resources dashboard through API interfaces, allowing managers to view the team's on duty status in real-time. All secondary development is completed through the software layer without the need to modify hardware.
HFSecurity has over 20 years of experience in the research and manufacturing of biometric devices, providing full process OEM/ODM customization services from product appearance, logo screen printing, software interface to communication protocols. Whether it is the OEM of standard attendance terminals or the development of new functional modules according to the special needs of enterprises, they can be delivered on demand. In this project, the client customized the appearance color scheme and startup interface of the equipment based on their own brand image.
The successful deployment of this attendance system has significantly improved the daily office efficiency and employee satisfaction of this Thai company. From multi-modal installation to multi-modal recognition, from automatic data synchronization to open interface docking, HFSecurity provides a set of practical and scalable smart attendance solutions for localized office scenarios. As more Thai companies focus on office digitization, HFSecurity will continue to provide stable and reliable products and flexible customized services to help customers achieve comprehensive improvement in management efficiency.
